The Vicious Circle of Retaliation

It’s all kicking off in the Middle East. Israel is starting what it calls "long weeks of action" against militants in the Gaza strip, thus continuing the vicious circle of retaliation. Israel is doing this in an attempt to stop rocket attacks on their territory coming from Palestinian militants in Gaza. But this will only enrage the militants, causing them to send more rockets, causing Israel to commit even more attacks. This has been going on for ages. Both sides are as bad as each other. But Israel, as a fully established state, should know better.
