Truth brings Prosperity

I was watching the second part of Boris Johnsons documentary on the clash between Islam and Christianity when suddenly it all made sense. The reason that the Middle East is stricken with poverty and isolated in world affairs, whilst the Western world thrives and dominates is because we learnt to separate politics and religion, whereas they did not. Because religion does not play a major role in our lives, we are not restricted by outdated ideas and doctrines, whereas they are. Truth brings prosperity, whereas nations founded on lies are destined to fail. So let that be a warning to the US. America, a country where Christian fundamentalism is growing rapidly, a country in which those fundamentalists have their eyes set on power, a country where up to a third still believe that the world is only five thousand years old. This is a country that is starting to blur the lines between State and Church, fact and fiction. On its current course, America is destined to fail.
