The New Age of President Obama

My earlier paranoia has today been proved wrong. Barack Obama is the first black president to be elected in the history of the USA. I felt so happy, not just because finally the worlds most powerful country now at least has a half decent leader, but for the black population of America. They were all in tears, lining the streets. One black man said he felt ‘vindicated’. Jesse Jackson, the last black man to run for president, was in tears. Obama is the perfect black president. Whilst being black, he does not let that identity dominate everything about himself. Also he is not a stereotypical ‘black man with a chip on his shoulder’ which makes him perfect to remove the chips of others. I only hope that this lasts, though. Out of all the presidents in history, I think he is at the highest risk of assassination. America has more than enough racist republican lunatic bastards to do the job. Obama is, I’m sure, aware of this, and hopefully will make his personal security reflect this threat. Whilst I am giving Obama the benefit of the doubt, nobody really knows him, so I hope he is what he seems, or this post might look quite daft in years to come. There are certain qualities needed to get ahead in politics that exclude him from angelic status, but I'm positive he's better than the alternative. McCain, failed president, was civil and gentlemanly, as he had been previously. But I am glad he did not win, because any man that would choose a nutter like Sarah Palin, despite only meeting her once, is only after the sex starved redneck vote, which shows he is perhaps a little irresponsible and overly ambitious.
