It's the end of the world as we know it

There are those who believe that the advance of the liberal attitude in matters such as childrearing, education, welfare, sexuality and more importantly belief is causing a decay in society and will result in the end of civilization and the dawn of a new dark age. If they are right, then so be it. It was nice while it lasted. Civilization with anything but liberty and freedom of thought and action is not worth having. If our civilisation cannot exist with liberty and freedom of thought as mainstream, we are not ready for it. Perhaps we will try again in a thousand years.
