Assasination and Obama

Obama is a powder cake. As one person he represents a new age for African-Americans, an age of new opportunities and new attitudes. Yet should be assassinated, the love, joy and hope of election night will turn into equal and opposite hatred. There will be race riots in the streets. All it will take is for some Neo Nazi racist fuckwit to fire a gun in roughly the right direction and 50 years of progress will be undone over night. The hot headed young men of America will start it off. The young white racists and more extreme republican supporters will celebrate in the streets. The young black people will blame white people as whole for the assassination. These groups will clash, violently, and people will die. Race hate crimes will be committed by both sides, and both sides will use the others atrocities to justify further atrocities, and a vicious circle will develop. This will drag the rest of American society into it, until eventually you end up with a situation where both sides hate each other bitterly, and the black minority faces oppression and life as second class citizens once again. Fifty years of progress for African Americans lies tied up in one human being. So security around Obama had better be shit hot. His security is well aware of this. At one rally he and his family greeted the crowd from behind a pane of 3 inch thick glass. Another danger is the sense of paranoia that Obama will inevitably feel. Extreme paranoia tends to make politicians ruthless and tyranical. Stalin is a prime example. We must not criticise Obama for the extreme security measures that are inevitably necessary. He needs it. America needs it. To you both I say good luck.
